Reasons to give
Posted:As Premier celebrates 30 years of broadcasting, we continue to enjoy the support of listeners far and wide, without which we would have not lasted. During a recent appeal we heard from people who have been with us from the very beginning.
One woman gives monthly with the comment: ‘I can’t imagine my life without Premier. I have been here since 1995! It’s on all the time and want to do whatever little I can. God bless.
Another with a one-off gift said ‘It means a lot to me. I’ve been listening to Premier since it started…’
Others give as part of their thanks to God for helping though a difficult time:
‘Not long ago my 21 year-old son was involved in a serious car accident that ought to have ended his life. Through the power of prayer he has made a miraculous recovery. My husband and I would have never have managed the hours of travel and hospital stays by his bedside if it hadn’t been for Premier Praise. God is great. We’ve now brought him home. I hope to see him leading worship again soon.’
Or someone gave a gift in thanks for help in a challenging job: ‘With my job in the ambulance service I never know what the day will bring. I value the company of Premier Radio so much and I know God is with me helping to keep my patience and fellow crewmates safe. It makes my day so much better and calmer.’
And sometimes gifts come from a most unusual chain of events:
‘I came across a radio in a bin years ago, and took it home to fix it. I didn’t realise it was a DAB radio, and I discovered it wasn’t broken but was actually working. The dial was on Premier radio and if it hadn’t been I would never have found Premier. God works in mysterious ways! I never remember dreams but on one occasion I dreamt I had 1,000-pound coins and God said that I should give them away, which is why I am donating £1000 to Premier’.
Whatever the reasoning, each has sensed God encouraging them to give.
Why not join them?!
