‘You lit a light in my heart’
Alex McMahon wasn’t thinking of theological study until he turned on his radio.
In 2021 I was listening to Premier Christian Radio and an advert came on for the Nazarene Theological College inviting listeners to do a degree in theology. It lit a light in my heart that I couldn’t put out, so I decided to pursue it. I am in my third year of a theological student, and it’s all thanks to the advert on Premier Christian Radio!
I’ve actually now met some of the preachers that I was listening to on the radio. Some of them are my fellow students, and also some of them are my teachers. It’s the best thing that I’ve ever done in my life, and I’ve also got a job through it.
So thank you for the advertisements and the teaching that you put on your show, because people like me have truly been blessed by it. I never would have had the confidence to reply had I not heard it on your radio station, and had the light lit in my heart to pursue it.
So thank you dearly from the bottom of my heart for everything that you do for our community, and thank you for encouraging me to apply to do a degree.
