Peter Kerridge Memorial Fund

To honour the incredible legacy of Peter Kerridge and ensure his vision to reach millions more with God’s Word is achieved, Premier has launched the Peter Kerridge Memorial Fund.

Whilst we mourn Peter’s passing, we are reminded of Thessalonians 4:13-14: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”

Peter embodied a rare combination of vision, determination and warmth. He truly believed in the power of Christian media to inspire, enable and encourage. Under his leadership Premier has become a beacon of hope, reaching millions.

Peter’s absence leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of everyone who knew him, but his unwavering dedication, sense of humour and kindness will live on in the countless lives he touched and transformed. So together, let’s celebrate the impact he had on all our lives and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.

Tributes and Prayers

We were both at Avenue Baptist when Peter joined as the Associate Minister. Peter was a tremendous support for us helping us grow as a couple and spent many a Sunday evening with him after evening church as part of the youth club. We remained in touch as until the last few years we used to catch up with Peter at the gym. Peter was a lovely compassionate man and we know he is deservedly with our Lord. God Bless you Peter and I know one day we will see you again in Glory.

Peter Kerridge Has Been A Great Inspiration To Me Sheila, Since I Was A Teenager Back in 2002. I Started Listening TO Premier Christian Radio When I Had Just Given My Life TO Christ In July 2002. As A Kid, I Listened TO Peter Kerridge Preaching The Gospel And Sharing Inspirational Words On Premier Radio. Till Today, I Still Listen To Premier Christian Radio and I Wake Up TO Premier Every Day, Absolutely My Favourite Station. I Am Truely Greatful TO God For Using Peter Kerridge TO Establish Premier Christian Radio. Peter Was An Incredible Beacon Of Hope and Light, and I Pray That Peter's Legacy and Memory Will Last Forever.

Sheila Agwa, SOUTHEND ON SEA

Peter contributed to much, gave himself to God's Kingdom work unstintingly and brought Jesus to millions. He stands among the most impactful of Christian leaders and he has left a remarkable legacy. A visionary, he saw the huge significance that media would take on in the 21st Century before most of us did and acted ensure that the Christian voice was represented - loud and clear. Always ambitious for gospel, he took on the risks, acted in faith and broke through many barriers. There's quality and energy evident in each the multi-media expressions that Premier has engaged to express the Christian message, becoming the leading Christian multi-media organisation in our region. Premier of today is the living testimony to the God's work in the life of his faithful servant Peter. During my time in leadership with the Torch Trust and the Churches for All network I was privileged to meet Peter on a number of occasions. With his wholehearted support and the involvement of his colleagues we tackled a number of projects to raise aware of the lives of disabled people within churches and our communities. With his easy manner and quick grasp of the essence of an initiative, I enjoyed and appreciated those invariably fruitful encounters. I thank God for Peter. He has been a channel of blessing to so very many. My heart goes out to the family who supported him through the long battle with Leukemia only to lose him so suddenly. And counting some the Premier team among my friends, I express my sympathy to them in their sense of loss and pray for them as they honour Peter's legacy by building on the foundation he laid.

Gordon Temple, Northamptonshire

It was so shocking and awfully sad to hear of Peters death. My immediate pray and thoughts were for his family, the hope that Peters death was peaceful and that his loved ones were with him. As a hospice nurse and having lost my dearest family members I know how significant this is. What an amazing man, what an incredibly good and faithful servant!! I was privileged to meet Peter on more than one occasion. Having listened and supported Premier Christian Radio virtually since conception, I attended some events at Methodist Central Hall. Being a northerner, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to both talk to Peter while introducing my wheelchair bound parents, my mother in law and at times other northern friends. Peter’s reaction was always instantly warm and engaging. We were able to reminisce having been born between Sunderland and Gateshead. Where on earth would the multitude of people that have the phenomenal gift of listening to Premier be, if it weren’t for Peter. His vision, passion, commitment, faithfulness, energy and drive are just some of the qualities that created Premier to be what it has become. He is perseverance in securing the necessary Christian licensing was remarkable, Peter’s reliance on pray being so evident. What a legacy to leave, how blessed are we the listeners! My prayer is that Peter’s immediate family will feel an immense sense of love, empathy and gratitude conveyed by the Premier listeners. This obviously extends to the staff who were led by a unique individual. Peter rest in complete Peace, God Bless 🙏❤️

Fiona Finlay, Pyrford, Surrey

Thank you so much Peter for listening to the voice of God. For allowing God to use you as an instrument of honour to birth this wonderful station which has been a blessing to me and my family. As a Nurse, on my way to work ( also at home), I listen to the prayers, the songs and the word on premier radio station and this unspeakable joy and happiness is transferred to my patients I look after on those shifts. Also, as a worship leader, I picked my worship, praise and hymn songs here in this station for our Sunday Worship Service. The worship services has always been a Mega outpouring of God’s presence in our midst. Thank you Peter, we rejoice with the angels and whoa..oo what a crown what a beautiful home you have in heaven. God bless you for obeying the call and spreading the gospel of goodnews through this powerful media. Sleep in the Lord till we meet and may God comfortable your immediate family and premier family.

We are so sorry to hear about Peter's death. Please be assured of our prayers for Peter, his family and friends and all at Premier Christian Radio at this difficult time, best wishes St James Garlickhythe

Johanne Moss, St James Garlickhythe

I am a trustee of Premier and never met Peter in person. Whilst appreciating his legacy, the true measure of the man was that he took the trouble to call me from his hospital bed at Christmas to thank me for my work for Premier. I was speechless and in tears. He will be sorely missed. Jon Templeman

Jonathan Templeman, Harrold

Condolences to Peter’s family, friends and Premier Family and Staff, I never knew nor met Peter, but I heard his words in an email over the airways and the legacy he has left this world is awesome. Whilst I was one of the millions of persons who prayed for his healing. I write to say our brother is sleeping until our Saviour’s soon return. When he will catch up to meet Him in the air, as the dead in Christ will rise first. Oh what a glorious day that will be! So with that said, I encourage us: let’s all do our best with the time we have been allotted to shine as bright and do our talented best to finish this commission of spreading the Gospel message to the whole world. Thank you Premier Gospel, Praise and Premier Christian Radio Station for allowing me to be apart of your CEO’s vision. He saw well !!!! 🙏🏼🤍 Sleep in peace Peter, until that great day, when we will meet at last.

camile grace jesse gold, croydon

Thanking God for a life well lived for His glory. I was very sad to hear Peter’s journey on earth has come to an end but comforted in the certainty that he was never alone and that our Faithful Shepherd was with Peter through it all and did what He needed to to do in Peter’s life and has welcomed him home. My sincere condolences to Peter’s wife and children and extended family. I share your pain and have been praying for you to be comforted by Holy Spirit and the knowledge that Peter was loved and respected by many. Having being a Premier Christian Radio prayer partner since the mid 1990s I feel very much a part of the Premier family and it has been a joy to witness Peter’s ministry under God’s Mighty Hand. One of the moments in my life as an intercessor when I have witnessed God answering prayer spectacularly is Peter’s appointment as CEO of Premier. The prayer request was shared with the prayer partners that Premier was looking for a new CEO, I recall praying fervently on my own and also when we gathered monthly at the Premier offices for God to appoint a man He had prepared and ordained for this work. Over the years I have continually thanked God for answering this prayer beyond imagination. I believe the God who heard our prayers and appointed Peter for this great work also heard us when we prayed for Peter’s healing and has answered us in His own sovereign way and will. Father God overshadow Peter’s family with the warmth of your comforting embrace and provide for them in every way. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Gloria Youri, Chislehurst

Dear Premeier Radio Team I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your CEO Peter Kerridge. Although I did not get to meet him personally his letters sent to me were very personable and when he spoke throughs his letter writings or on the airwaves you could feel his love and compassion for the gospel to be preached throughout this nation. He was a true pioneer ahead of his time! He has fought the good fight and finished the race and has kept the faith 2 Timothy 4:7 and he is now resting with his Heavenly Father in glory! I pray for God to comfort and strengthen Peter’s wife and children and the rest of his family members and the Premier Radio team during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you all. The baton has now been passed on for you all to follow on the legacy of Peter. May God bless you and comfort you and His peace abide and remain with you always. Viv

Vivianne Headlam, London

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Peter Kerridge. My condolences to his family. Thank you for your passion in sharing the gospel through radio. I have many letters from you encouraging people to give so that Premier radio continues to be a witness. I remember my gran always listening to premier radio after my grandad died and she could no longer leave the house, I know it gave her much hope as it has for me. I am privileged to be a part of this legacy which you have started. Thank you, gone but never forgotten.

Bernice Ferdinand, London

Peter Kerridge was a great friend to Open Doors and the persecuted Church. He creatively invested in our regular campaigns on Premier and was a highly valued critical friend. Eddie Lyle, President of Open Doors Uk & Ireland says, “Peter expanded my vision - mirroring his own dreams for Premier. He created opportunities for me to meet other leaders in the Church and was a constant and accessible source of Barnabas-style encouragement. He provided me with a shoulder to lean on and modelled a style of leadership with his creatives that I admired. He mobilised their ideas and was an ideas factory himself!. Peter’s love and concern for people who couldn't go to church, the hurt and wounded, the broken and the shut-ins touched me deeply. He shaped Premier to be their Church. Peter was a visionary of the most extraordinary kind.” All of us at Open Doors are deeply grateful for Peter and Premier Radio’s support and encouragement. We send love and heartfelt condolences to his family and his team. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

The Team at Open Doors UK & Ireland

My prayers for his soul and loves ones, as we say in the orthodox church, may his memory be eternal, God rest his soul and grant him to be with the angels and righteous ones, comfort his grieving family.

Harry Georgiou, Alconbury Weald

Thank you for the Christian worship music on Premiere Praise radio. I listen a lot, when I can at home. It uplift’s me and reminds me that God is in-charge of my life. I just need to trust Him. Thank you Peter

Mary Wootton, Warwickshire

Dear Peter Thank you for the support that your vision of Premier Christian Radio has given me. In 2008 I lost my wife to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. In the dark days that followed it was the voices of hope on Premier Christian Radio that I turned too. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May Our Lord Bless them. Stuart

Now, the labourer task is over. A general, in my opinion. Thank God for the life of Peter Kerridge. My mother has been listening to Premier Radio for many years. Premier Radio excelled when my elderly mother was seriously ill last year in hospital. (3 months), she became low in spirit. I brought a digital radio to the ward. Of course, it had to be Premier Radio. The station blessed my mum, the staff, and the patients. One of the patient's family asked about the station playing. I said the station. The next day, they called Premier Radio Life for prayer for everyone. The staff and patients were saddened when my mum left the hospital. How they will miss Premier Radio. Praise God, my mum recovered but is housebound and continues to listen to Premier Radio day and night. What a legacy, you have left, Peter! It brings tears of sadness of your death but tears of joy. You have fought the good fight of faith and finished the course. A crown of righteousness is waiting for you. God bless the Kerridge family/friends and Premier Radio family at this sad time. Jennifer (daughter) and Denise (mum)

My sincere condolences to Peter's family. Very sad to hear the lost of a faithful servant of God. Many years ago, God revealed Premier radio in my low moments. I thank Peter's vision and perseverance to set up a Christian radio in London. It is a blessing to hear God's words all the time 🙏.

Chris

As a family connected to Premier because of our son Justin's lengthy involvement, as the developer and former presenter of the Unbelievable show, we owe a lot to Peter and to his vision for Premier Christian Radio, as we used to call it. Over the years I have personally enjoyed tuning in mainly on Sunday mornings to hear Noel Tredinnick and Pam Rhodes, gaining comfort and inspiration from that and appreciating the Voice of Hope. I like to keep abreast of what's going on in our nation and globally for Christianity. Peter will be very much missed by all his friends and colleagues both present and former, and I express our deep sympathies for his close family. He went to be with the Lord, which is where we all hope to go in due course - and I cannot think of a more glorious end for a true disciple like him. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory!

Alison Brierley, Pattishall, Northamptonshire

I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of Peter Kerridge. He was an exceptional person who positively impacted the community. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

On behalf of ACC I would just like to say how sorry we were to hear of Peter's death. We know from meetings with him, his dedication to seeing the gospel spread in both words and actions and his commitment to the work of Premier. He will be greatly missed. We pray for his family, friends and colleagues that they may know God's peace and love as they journey with their grief

Sue Monckton-Rickett on behalf of Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC), UK

Our thoughts and prayers are with Peter's family and friends. We were shocked to hear the news on Radio 4 this morning as we weren't aware of his illness. We remember Peter as a bright little boy when we were at Beacon Lough. His parents were lovely and gave us kind and generous hospitality.A loving Christian family.Peter has served his Lord faithfully and will hear those words from his precious Saviour "Well done, Thou good and faithful servant".

Derek and Moira Lewis, Dudley,West Midlands

Dear Premier staff, Premier family and Peter's family and friends I am so sorry of your loss of Peter. I didn't know Peter personally but I am so grateful to him for Premier Christian Radio even though I confess all I noticed was his name on the Premier letters through my letterbox. Premier brings so much comfort to me - especially Michael Fanstone's counselling show and the Sunday Sermon and also when I am working from home (thanks Josh Carter especially) or doing my housework. I don't know whether every show was Peter's idea but I know from listening to Pam Rhodes' tribute that much of Premier's success is down to Peter. I am so grateful. I hope you receive as much comfort in your loss as I and all of the other Premier listeners receive every day from such a wonderful radio station. Lots of love to you all Rosie xx

Rosie, Wolverhampton

If I could send Peter a message, I would say: Thank you for all you have done to ensure the message of hope found in the gospel of Christ has been consistently broadcast in the UK and throughout the world via Premier. Whenever Peters voice came on Premier C.R., our ears would prick up to listen to what he wanted us to hear. I'm sure we're all missing that voice now, but know we will hear it anew one day soon.

Mike Easton, Felixstowe

Am so saddened to hear this, the kindness he carried, the letters he used to send to us, that brown envelope from him, the true organic stories nad love of people, Peter you will be heavily missed. It is well. You ran the race and you ran it well. It is well.

Stephen Abiola, Birmingham UK

Please accept our condolences for the passing of a great man. Peter was an inspirational mentor, guide and friend. His service to others and Christian mission was remarkable. He was also great fun and a very warm man - you always left Peter feeling better than when you arrived. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Bring us, O Lord God, at our last awakening into the house and gate of heaven, to enter into that gate and dwell in that house, where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light; no noise nor silence, but one equal music; no fears nor hopes, but one equal possession; no ends nor beginnings, but one equal eternity: in the habitations of thy majesty and glory, world without end. Amen.

Mark Potter, Balham London UK

Thank you, Peter, for your leadership, spiritual service, and input. As a foreign student living in the UK between 2000 to 2009, Premier Christian Radio was a great blessing to me. Christian teaching and songs sustained me through lonely periods. I also had the chance to occasionally hear Mr. Peter Kerridge on the radio. God used his leadership as one of the reasons why Premier Christian Radio became such an impactful channel for people like me. Even though I didn't know him personally, his leadership was indirectly felt and appreciated by people like me. May God bless him in Heaven and his loved ones on this earth. My heartfelt condolences. Praising God for his life.

God bless the Kerridge family! I came to hear about Premier Christian News through Laura Maxwell. It has been a good source of encouragement, but it has also been informative. Thank you for all the hard work that has been put into Premier Christian News —much diligence and hard work. RIP Peter Kerridge. 🙏

Michael Cavanagh, Armadale, Western Australia.

Peter contributed to something radically different when the UK was still getting used to Christian media presence. Giving thanks to God for him & prayers for those who mourn his loss most deeply.

Cynthia y, North Shields

I met Peter some 30 years ago. He had a clear vision for the Christian message to be available on mainstream media and fought hard against legislation to forbid the promotion of then Christian faith by that means. He was a gentle man but very clearly committed to making known the transformational nature of the gospel in people's lives. In this way he has made a real difference in British society. I say a big thank you for all he did to serve the Lord in this way. May God sustain his family at this time.

Paul Burrell, Bishop's Stortford

My condolences to Peter’s family and friends during this difficult time. May the Lord keep them and comfort them in Jesus name. I thank God for Peter’ life and for the great legacy he leaves behind in Premier. Premier has been an incredible support to me and my family during good and not so good times, I can’t imagine not having Premier on in my home or car. May Peter’s soul continue to rest in peace in Jesus name.

Bisola, London

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Peters family, and everyone Peter worked with. After listening to the Radio Essex Christian programme, I was pleased to 'switch' and tune into Premier Christian Radio. Here at Premier, one can listen to Christian content at any time of the day; and be helped by what one hears. Thank you for all that you enabled, for a Christian Radio Station, bringing hope and encouragement for these times. May you find peace in your hearts and minds, as Peter now has, free from pain, and with his Lord. May you all remember the good times and experiences that you had with Peter; to keep his memory alive in your hearts. All God's Blessings to you all. Elaine Grace.

Elaine Grace, Chelmsford

A supporter for several years , I recognise that under his leadership Premier has become broader in its ministry, more `street-wise` without devaluing the Gospel. The employment of regional accents is I believe a distinct help Thank you Lord for Peter

Charles Stammers, Nottingham

thank you to Peter Kerridge for all his efforts in putting the Christian message across the airwaves. Premier Praise was and is my go to channel for when working outside up until the pandemic hitting. I am very grateful for Peter Kerridge and all his team and hope Peter's family can take consolation that all his efforts made for Jesus will count for ever!

Lee Watson, Nottingham

I am new listener to Premier Christian Radio. So grateful to have found it! Sending my sincerest condolences and prayers to Peter Kerridge’s family, friends and the whole Premier Team. This service is so needed and lovely to hear all things Peter did and what a Christian warrior he was.

Premier changed my life and has been a constant source of inspiration and faith ever since. I’ve been listening to Premier Radio since it started in 1995. I’ve been inspired and encouraged through out the years. I always receive nice kind worded letters from Peter. I hear his interviews and messages on the radio as well. I can still hear his voice. He has done his job and will be with our Jesus in a nice peaceful place. May God comfort his family, friends and staffs in Premier Radio. Praised be God.

Wushen Imeru, London, Harrow

I am sorry for the loss of Peter Kerridge to his family, friends and Premier Christian Radio listeners. I believe God inspired Peter to express empathy and love for those experiencing suffering and loneliness. The zeal and warmth communicated in his letters to the Premier family helped us to focus on others more and ourselves less. We are very blessed by the impact of warmth and friendliness expressed in many forms by Premier. While reinforcing our faith, Premier has enabled us to give more importance to the needs of others and as a result feel as though we can be part of making a positive difference.

Stephanie, North London

It was sad to hear that Peter has passed but we thank God for his life and ministry to the church. I just listened again to his last Easter Reflection, where he explained all that was happening to him and that made us all hopeful. But God had better plans for him and he's now been promoted to glory, free from pains and sorrows. I pray for God's grace to strengthen his family and loved ones, his premier family and all who have been blessed by him. May Peter's soul continue to rest in peace. Josephine Davies - a long term listener and supporter of Premier Radio🙏❤️🙏

Everyone at Christians in Media is deeply saddened to learn of Peter's death. Peter was a man of many ideas, whose passion for Jesus Christ was a major driving force behind the development, and growth, of Premier Christian Radio. Those who worked alongside Peter will testify to his boundless energy to keep Premier going, even in the face of the many challenges that confront a Christian media organisation here in the UK. I first became aware of Premier Radio back in the 1990s, while working with United Christian Broadcasters (UCB). It was clear back then Premier was a quality radio station that would impact so many people’s lives. Over the years, this has proven to be the case, which is down to the inspirational leadership that Peter gave the great team at Premier. Peter was one of a kind: a towering figure in every sense of the word. He was instrumental in helping to shape the Christian media landscape here in the UK, and will be greatly missed by so many people. On behalf of my fellow trustees and the Christians in Media team, we send our deepest condolences to Peter’s family, friends, the Premier team, and all those affected by this sad news. We pray they know God’s comforting love at this very difficult time. We pray that Peter’s legacy will continue to reach out and touch many more lives, sharing the hope and faithful promises we have in Jesus.

Steve Cox, Christians in Media, United Kingdom

Dear Peter's wife and your children, I can't imagine what you all are going through, that I send my sincere condolence to you... And with father's day coming up this Sunday, Which would be so incredible difficult and painful for you all are, I can only pray that the Lord Himself held you all in His loving care, And together with your support Peter left a legacy to bring " God's hope" through the Christians radio's and pray line, in people's home, for many a life line, Thank you and your children for giving your husband that support of being able to do so.. Rest in peace Peter

I remember how Premier helped me cope in my decade plus stay in the UK. I literally never turned off my radio in my car from Premier, it cheered me up, I got encouraged when I was down, and it helped open my understanding of how powerful Christian radio could be. Even now 6,000 miles away from UK, Premier is still bring calmness, joy and hope to me and my family via your online broadcast. Thank you for all the sacrifices and effort you put into making Premier what it is today. May you rest in peace Peter.

I worked with Peter on broadast poetry and talks during his time at Premier. He was a most warm and inspiring man and I sensed his spirit sustained the whole of the Premier community and its effort. It was a privilege to contribute to the marvellous station he had built, and to stand in the warmth of his faith. May he rest in peace.

Edmund Matyjaszek, Isle of Wight

My sincere condolences.I thank God for Peter Kerridge’s vision concerning Premier Christian Radio and for honouring God’s calling on his life. I have been a listener, blessed by Premier Christian Radio when it could still only be found on MW Radio Frequency. Premier Christian Radio has been a blessing to me and my family for more than 20yrs, My children grew up listening to Premier Radio. My main channel then became Premier Gospel Radio on DAB especially on my commutes,in the house and I thank God for all the Premier Radio channels programmes, staff, competitions to which I have won a few, staff present and gone. Importantly, what God is doing through them. I pray for more of God's grace to continue the great vision Peter started in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.. May God's comfort surround his immediate family and all connected to him.And may they be encouraged in the knowledge that Peter has made Heaven, to suffer no more.

I am so sorry to hear of Peter's passing. Premier Radio has been a lifeline for me through many many years. I am comforted by knowing he is without pain now in His eternal home that awaits every believer. Words are hard at this time. I pray for god's comfort for all of Peter's family and Premier Christian Radio family. Rest in perfect peace and rise again in glory when Jesus comes in glory.

I would like to send my heartfelt and deepest condolences to Peter’s family and friends and all of the Premier family. It is thanks to Peter’s vision for Premier Christian radio that today my faith is stronger than ever. Premier has been significant in bringing me back to faith. God has used Peter’s vision and unwavering faithfulness to bring people into a closer walk with him. Thank you Peter and thank you team Premier. Rest in peace Peter.

Vicky, Penzance in Cornwall

I first met Peter 8 year ago, I had very little evidence that my dream of building a landmark about Jesus could happen. But Peter saw with faith only a handful of people saw at that time. What was more incredible was that despite all he had on his plate he gave time to me and was active in his support for the project. he went out of his way to help. He was open handed with the ministry God had developed through him. Even in his last days he took the time to contact me and encourage me. He saw with eyes of faith, and matched that revelation with action. an absolute legend. Much love - I'm looking forward to catching up with him and praising Jesus together.

I am so sad and sorry to hear that dear Peter Kerridge has left us. I love his impact on Premier Christian Radio. Makes me determined to continue to support and increase support for Premier as long as I am here on earth. It's a temporary separation and one day we will all be together in God's arms forever. Rest well until then. We will keep the fire burning!

Abiola Oloyede, Chadwell Heath, Romford

It was a true pleasure and blesssing working with Peter as he wholeheartedly supported the endavour of launching christian radio in Sweden, through Premier UK. Peter's leadership and ablility to spark enthusiasm made a deep impact in my life. I send my prayers to his family and remember a true champion of broadcasting and leadership.

Jonatan Svanström, Gothenburg, Sweden

My condolences to the Kerridge family 🙏🏾❤️ Peter formally trained me to be a presenter some 8 years ago. I still remember during one of our training sessions, he said I was "too preachy" 😄 He was right of course, but his comments put a fire in my belly to share the Gospel with my journalism skills. I was often times intimidated by Peter's presence. He had a no nonsense approach to everything he did, a man of great stature (and I'm not just referring to his height). Everything Peter did was BIG! Almost as if there was no time to waste playing small. I'm inspired by your legacy Peter, you didn't ask for permission, you didn't waste time, you didn't wait for a crowd. You ran with the vision. I pray you will all be comforted knowing Peter fulfilled purpose. Rest well "giant" of Premier. 🕊

Thank you.

Friends of the Spafford Children's Center UK send, with deep sorrow, their condolences on the death of Peter Kerridge. They remember with huge gratitude Peter's help and support, together with staff at Premier, in making the SCC the beneficiary of a Premier Christian Radio Christmas appeal. This provided valuable funding which improved the lives of many disadvantaged children and their families in Jerusalem's Old City and East Jerusalem. RIP Peter.

The Spafford Children's Center, East Jerusalem

Within the last few years I have been an avid listener of Premier Praise and to know that this man had a vision to make Christianity more accessible to everyone is a wonderful thing. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends. The beautiful truth is that we have a blessed hope that we will see our loved ones again. RIP.

The radio in my car is permanently on Premier Radio. Anyone who rides with me gets to listen to a song, a message, a prayer. Peter Kerridge steered the ship of this radio station to such a good state it became a favourite. Condolences to the family & staff.

Betty, Liverpool

Having recently gone through the experience of a loved one (mum's passing) I can relate to what Peter's family are going through. However, we take comfort in the fact that Peter is in heaven rejoicing with the host of Heaven. Listening to Premier praise has been a great support and reassurance for me especially in 2020 which was the darkest time of my life. Going through separation, divorce and rejection, I found Premier praise and all testimonies from other listeners comforting and uplifting. Continue to rest in Peace Peter, you have started and finished well.

Deba, United Kingdom

I am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and the whole family. I didn’t know Peter and have never met him but his enthusiasm for the gospel and Christian media could not be denied. His words of encouragement came through clearly in the letters I received from Premier, his love and passion for Christ always at the forefront of what he wrote.I hope that you find comfort in God’s promises during this difficult time.

Jill, Peebles Scottish Borders

I am extremely grateful for the life of Peter Kerridge who spearheaded Premier Christian Radio, along with all of his colleagues, into being the great radio station that it is today. I started listening to Premier from the very first day of broadcasting and it has been a huge blessing to me in my personal walk with the Lord, as well as in my role as a Religious Studies teacher. The variety of programs on the station, the coverage and discussion of theological and moral issues, (many of which were and are being debated in the UK), has contributed in a huge way to my understanding of God's word in our contemporary society. I would even dare to say that Premier Christian Radio has helped to make me a better teacher of GCSE and A Level Religious Studies by keeping me up to date with the philosophical thinking of the day. Many of my students owe their success, in both GCSE and A level, to the fact that I listen to Premier Radio and use things that I have learned from all of the presenters and speakers to resource my lessons. I am so sorry that Peter is no longer with us, but I am confident that his legacy and vision will continue through all of the dedicated staff members. The Bible says in Revelation 14:13 'Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Write: "Blessed are the dead who die in the LORD from now on'" "Yes", says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labours, and their works follow them." My prayers and condolences are with Peters family and all who loved him. God bless you all.

Cherry Hylton, Wallington, Surrey.

Good night our beloved brother Peter. Your transformational work through Premier Radio will not be forgotten. Thank you for using that medium to propagate the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Go on to your eternal rest and rewards at the bosom of our Lord Jesus Whom you loved and served so well while on earth. May GOD grant your beloved family and the entire team at Premier Radio the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the fortitude of hearts to bear this irreparable loss which is Heaven's gain. Good night, we shall meet at the Resurrection Morning.

Pastor Israel Adebayo, Deeper Life Bible Church, Aberdeen, Scotland

I first heard of Peters passing through premiar Christian radio which I listen to nearly every day as I comute from home to work and to church. As I listened to his story how he worked so hard to get premiar radio onto the airwaves .I thought back to when I first got saved way back in 2003 without a bible without a church no other believers to talk to or asked questions. It was premiar radio that I one day found by chance on my TV channel .I couldn't believe it that I could here teachers ,music and hear others story's of how they had found the Lord or rather I should say the Lord found us ..it was such a blessing to me it strengthened me no end .And as i say I listen daily now through DAB radio which wasn't around when I first found this amazing radio station.thank you peter for making it possible and blessing some many of us the Lord truly used you .Now absent from the body present with the Lord which is far better ...Godbless Rebecca.

"In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus......" 1Thess 5: 18 We share the sadness of all who mourn the loss of Peter Kerridge, but we rejoice that he is now with the Lord! Peter Kerridge was a visionary, who in his last words in the Voice of Hope offered a reminder about the urgency of sharing God's love for others and making Christ known via all of Premier media channels and his commitment to this cause. We give thanks to God for Peter's passion and drive and above all for his firm faith in God. We give thanks that so many people here in the UK and around the world including us have been blessed by the ministry of Premier Christian Radio and other media channels. May Peter receive God's "Well done, good and faithful servand award"! May Peter's soul rest in eternal peace and rise in glory! My deepest condolences to Peter's family, friends and the entire Premier team, Peter was be sadly missed. Just think of the many souls he guided through his vision and relentless work for Christ our Lord, like mine. I can say this because of what Premier has been in my life, Premier is the church I go to at my desk in the office, on the street, anywhere it was plugged in ears. God bless and comfort you all, and I know he is smiling down on us. Diana

Journey Home: To God be all the glory for Peter's journey which was surrounded with great testimonies; a man of great vision and great faith that bridged the resistance of evil powers to emerge with success. The birth of Premier radios including both additional's were steps of great courage with the greatest result, knowing fully well that they were not individual achievements but rather collective efforts, but he was at the top of it, to stamp the decision and to give a go ahead which were great success. I personally bless God for Peter's life and the achievements he completed, I can say he finished well because of so many souls that received and are still receiving their blessings, healing, deliverance, salvation and freedom through Premier ministries. May our good Lord grant his gentle soul a peaceful rest in Jesus name aaamen. Pastor Israel Philip Elim Pentecostal Church Harlesden

TO PETER'S FAMILY, FRIENDS & CO-LABOURERS IN CHRIST I pray Almighty God would comfort, strengthen, provide for you all. May his legacy continue to inspire and challenge the body of Christ.

Shirlene Coulton, London

I became a listener of Premier Christian Radio in the 1990s. It was through Premier that I heard about the challenges in Haiti and following prayer embarked on my first overseas mission trip. A few years ago we shared DAB radios with some of the elderly in our community so the could be encouraged and blest by what Premier Radio offered. Today I join all who knew and loved Peter thanking God for his vision, his passion, obedience and sacrifice. There is no doubt, his legacy will live on and his work will continue to grow even as he rests. May his family be comforted, knowing they are held in love and prayers by the army of the Premier family. Good night Peter.

Peggy, Birmingham UK

Peter is the only charity CEO I could name, communications from Premier seemed to be so personally from him to me. He clearly made a huge contribution to the world and has been promoted to glory. My prayers are with his family for God’s comfort in their loss and grief, He is our comforter and surrounds us with his love.

Liz Williams, Canterbury, Kent

I’m so grateful for Peter Kerridge’s obedience to God’s calling on his life. I have been and continue to be truly blessed by Premier Christian Radio since it started in 1995, just after I had my second child. I’ve always loved the worship programmes and have learned so much from the various teaching programmes and debates. Premier Christian Radio has gone from strength to strength. Long may it continue. May Peter’s Mother, wife, and sons be comforted knowing the great vision that he had has blessed so many lives all over the world. May his soul rest in peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Vilma Scott, South East London

My sincere condolence to Peter's family. I pray GOD comforts you all during this very sad time. He has truly fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith so his crown of righteousness awaits him. What a great legacy Peter has left behind. I only found premiere radio just over a year ago when I changed my car and since finding the station I have never changed the channel. I have been truly blessed by the prayers, worship and the WORD. My car journeys have been such a blessing because, under GOD Peter was obedient to the call of GOD on his life. May he rest in eternal peace in the arms of his Father.

Thank you, Mr. Peter Kerridge, for your lifelong dedication to the work of God. Because of your unwavering commitment, I discovered Premier 22 years ago as a young person. Premier changed my life and has been a constant source of inspiration and faith ever since. Through the highs and lows, Premier has been a steadfast companion, guiding me and countless others with its message of hope and love. Your tireless work has touched the lives of many, bringing them closer to God and fostering a sense of community and support. I am eternally grateful for the role Premier has played in my spiritual journey. Rest in the perfect peace of God. Your legacy will continue to inspire and uplift. Thank you once again.

I remember meeting Peter when we were both at Regents Park College Oxford - I was a geographer, he was a Baptist Ordinand. Since then our paths have crossed from time to time. I will always remember Peter as a warm and encouraging man. His ministry will have blessed many people. May he rest in peace.

Charles Hope, Keswick

Dear Friends at Premier Radio... It was years ago that PR aired my radio program produced here in the US, and Peter was most kind and generous to provide those four minutes per gratis to our ministry. So, when I heard that this remarkable man slipped from the bonds of earth and stepped into heaven, I was touched deeply. Peter was truly a patron of the gospel of Christ, and I thank him for having opened the door, years ago, so that I might encourage listeners of Premier Radio who struggle with disabilities. God be with you all!

I can vouch: that the late Peter Kerridge did more than anyone before him in history to further the cause, and advance the impact, of Christian & Evangelical broadcasting in the UK. The debts of gratitude towards him, as well as our salute and recognition of his immense achievement, are simply enormous and made of the stuff of legends. To God alone, we offer heartiest of thanks and praise: for all the ways He called, sustained, and used, Peter to build the Kingdom of God on earth through the widely ranging media of Christian communication. Peter spearheaded this, and was way ahead of the curve and all his peers. Actually, Peter Kerridge alone was peerless. We pray on for his wife and immediate family, and we'll as for the Staff and wider family of Premier Radio. May we all be more than thankful that the Lord touched and anointed Peter's huge ministry and presence among us - and now we bring all these many, happy, memories and our ginormous gratitude to the Throne of our Heavenly Father: from ths day forth ...... Blessings and Christian love and hope to ALL who knew and, like me, so valued and enjoyed Peter's presence among us while he walked this earth with us. Peter Kerridge, you are still SO special.among us: and will always remain exactly that. Thank you. Prof N H Tredinnick BEM FRSCM

Dr Noël Tredinnick, Premier Radio

Peter Kerridge, the visionary founder of Premier Christian Radio, recently passed away, leaving behind a legacy that profoundly transformed the landscape of Christian broadcasting in the UK and beyond. His life was marked by an unwavering commitment to sharing the message of hope, love, and faith through the airwaves, touching countless lives over the years. Peter’s journey began with a clear vision: to create a platform where Christian values and voices could be heard and celebrated. In 1995, he founded Premier Christian Radio, a groundbreaking endeavour that brought Christian programming to a national audience for the first time. Under his leadership, Premier flourished and expanded into a multimedia network, encompassing radio, magazines, digital platforms, and events that reached millions. His dedication to excellence and innovation in broadcasting set a high standard. Peter was not just a leader but also a mentor, inspiring his team with his passion and unwavering belief in the power of media to effect positive change. He championed diverse voices within the Christian community, ensuring that Premier Christian Radio was a platform where everyone felt represented and heard. Peter’s impact extended far beyond the airwaves. He was a fervent advocate for social justice, using Premier’s platform to address critical issues such as poverty, mental health, and religious freedom. His commitment to making a difference was evident in initiatives like the Premier Lifeline, a national helpline providing emotional and spiritual support to those in need. Colleagues and listeners alike will remember Peter for his warmth, kindness, and deep faith. His ability to connect with people on a personal level made him a beloved figure in the community. He had an extraordinary gift for listening and understanding, always ready to lend an ear or offer a word of encouragement. Peter’s legacy is one of enduring faith and service. He demonstrated that media could be a powerful force for good, bringing people together and fostering a sense of community and belonging. His work has left an indelible mark on the Christian broadcasting world and continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate Peter Kerridge’s remarkable life and the incredible contributions he made to Christian media and beyond. His vision, leadership, and compassion will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to shine brightly through the many lives he touched and the enduring impact of Premier Christian Radio. Rest in peace, Peter Kerridge. Your light and love will never be forgotten.

Ellie, London

I will be forever grateful for all the hope, encouragement and information that Premier spread and disseminate and to Peter Kerridge for being the visionary behind it all. My sincerest condolences to all his family at this time

We thank God and honour His servant, Peter Kerridge for fighting the good fight and finishing his course. Your reward is great as you are a shinning light that burned brightly and has shown many of us believers that the glass celings in this nation can be broken for the gospel of peace to be released. Well done. We love you.

Pastor Lunga Sazinge, Catford

I met Peter when I ambushed him at a Premier event to ask him where were the Christian Arts on Premier. Instead of running away he engaged me in discussion and then invited me to come and have tea with him in his office the following week. From that came a number of chats about the theatre and the Christian imagination on the airwaves in the afternoon show and later I went onto contribute to the morning show. I saw in Peter a man of vision, integrity, warmth and respect for me which gave me such confidence to believe in what I had to say. I have heard many others talk of his vision which inspired them as well and so we thank him for giving so much of himself to all of us. He was a Godly man who used his gifts for Jesus and the Kingdom and he will be so missed. I was blessed to meet him and am very saddened at his death at such a young age. Thank you Peter and my heart goes out to all his family, friends, and all those at Premier, God bless you.

Rev Patricia Taylor, London

Peter was a man who was willing to pay a very high price in order to serve the greater cause that he lived for. That cause was to share the knowledge of Jesus Christ widely and truly. On the few occasions when I saw Peter it was clear that he was a man on a mission. I recall the struggle that it took for Premier to become operational in the beginning. I recall the life-changing effect of being able to get in the car and search for 1305, 1332 and 1413 and then come home and continue listening. In London, it was the first continuous quality Christian content that was easily accessible and directly relevant to British culture at large. I recall how Premier made the switch-over to digital and then eventually to Premier Plus. Peter understood the need for quality content and was prepared to be at the forefront of asking for the necessary funding. That took enormous courage and vision and a willingness to be unpopular at times. Peter’s leadership was strong in many areas but at the centre I believe was his deep spirituality and personal faith in Christ. Peter was a genius at managing and promoting diversity and tolerance. To hold together the wide spectrum of the diversity of Christian expression and cross-generational divides is no mean feat. The addition of Premier Praise and Premier Gospel aided this, as did the magazine publications, conferences and events. Peter had a very strong pastoral heart demonstrated in his care for staff in both spiritual and practical ways. Premier Lifeline has been a huge blessing to so many people in their hour of need. Peter saw that there was a large and growing number of black Christians in the UK and the line-up of Premier’s presenters shifted to adequately reflect this. From my viewpoint as an outsider, I believe that Peter would back up his staff as much as he could, hence the longevity of so many of the presenters, yet Peter would always maintain high expectations of them. Peter’s leadership will be greatly missed but I believe he had prepared for his succession and I have great confidence that in Kevin Bennett he has left us with the right leader for the task. I pray that God will comfort Peter's widow and family and all of the staff at Premier. Rest in peace Peter you have run a good race and finished your course.

Pastor David French, Near Maidstone

I am very saddened by the news of Peter's death and send my condolences to his family and colleagues. Peter and I started in local radio at the same time and became friends as we met at conferences, as 'newbies' together. The smile on the photo used here is the smile I remember, a smile that was not just surface but went deeply through his character. Peter has been greatly used by God and leaves a great legacy.

Richard Steel, Hexham

It’s February 1993 and I’m in trouble. Finished journalism school the previous summer and seven months later I still haven’t found employment. Repayments on the loan I had taken out to pay for the training had been due a few months previously and the bank was getting hostile. I had sent a CV to Essex FM and an out of the blue they replied several months later with an offer of a job interview. I had been interviewed before for radio reporter jobs but the gotcha questions and inevitable rejections had eroded further my already flatlining self-confidence. PK was different. He sensed my desperation. I got the job. I can’t begin to tell you the relief. Three weeks later I’m staying in a squat in London because I can’t afford rent and commuting into my first job in journalism. Day one started very badly for reasons I’m still embarrassed about. My news reading was terrible as well. A decision needed to be made as to whether to keep me. Call it christian compassion or the pragmatism of someone who needs staff in place ahead of Ten-17’s launch, maybe both, but Peter gave me a second chance. These decisions altered the course of my life: I met Clare and 25 years later I’m still annoying her. Two children. 30 years of continuous employment in journalism. It’s been quite a ride. I don’t need to tell you what kind of man Peter Kerridge was. The fact the Archbishop of Canterbury has paid public tribute to him speaks volumes. I’m still emotional three days after hearing that he died. I’m not religious but he lived by the creed he dedicated himself to. Big figure in my life.

Matt Precey, Norfolk

I thank God for Peter's life and the legacy he left in Premier radio. Like everyone, I was praying for a miracle and find news of his death incredibly sad. I pray that his family are receiving all the support and comfort they need right now and in future. Peace be with you.

What is Life without making Impact through Christ, I celebrate the great works Peter a gallant soldier of Christ has done on earth, His Christ has come to give him due rest and reward for his labour on earth (His golden Crown of great reward). I condole with the family and friends that this Man of God Peter left behind, I pray that God will comfort every member of his family with the comfort of His Holy Spirit that they would not loose their comfort and joy in Christ at a difficult time like this. Premier Praise Radio is a source of inspiration for me daily, most especially on my journeys. I pray that the work Peter has done in this radio station, magazine and digital world would continue with a more dedicated soldier of Christ so more souls can have hope for the future here and beyond like where Peter has gone in Jesus name. Please accept my heartfelt condolences

KEHINDE OLABODE, BRADFORD

I am part of the group of friends from the Ten17 FM days, now in my mid-50s and no longer in radio after the demise of Ten17 when the station was consumed by one of the big radio groups. Peter was passionate about developing us younger folks with the intimacy of radio engaging as one to one with the listener among thousands. His teaching was enthusiastic, praise when warranted, harsh when needed - but from that I, and my other trainee colleagues, all benefited. Whilst I am no longer in radio, his teaching and guidance enables me to speak with confidence with board directors of companies that provide essential services we all rely on every time we fill the kettle to make a cuppa. Peter always acknowledged my husband and me as a same sex couple. We last corresponded in November 2023 as he was facing the next period of treatment. He signed off "Love to you both and your families. P". That says it all, really.

Graham Hindley, London

Premier Radio has been a blessing to me and many others for many years. I cannot thank God enough for the vision to set up this station now turned three different stations, including Premier Praise and Premier Gospel. These three stations are phenomenal in helping us to strengthen our faith and grow spiritually. Peter was a gift to us here in the united Kingdom and to the world at large. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Glory be to God for the wonderful life you lived here on earth Peter, and the fantastic legacy you 've left behind. Continue to rest in The Lord.

STELLA BAKARE, Chelmsford

As a family we listen to Premier Christian radio all the time and have been long time partners from the beginning. Peter was a simple man with a heart for Jesus His vision for Premier was unique, his main focus was to make Jesus known through the airways . He will receive his crown and listen to Jesus say - ‘ well done my good and faithful servant’ He will be missed but I’m sure he is rejoicing in heaven at the feet of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ . Praying for comfort for his family and for the whole Premier team at this difficult time .

Dr.Shekinah Chavvakula, Orpington

Premier has been a lifeline for me & especially Premier Praise which I believe works with supernatural energy against despair, grief, loneliness and negative mental health. Peter may never know the legacy of the lives his work has and will continue to transform. Maybe the Lord will share that with him - he is certainly there, a saint with all of those gone before and welcoming him into the kingdom. I never met Peter but I’m so thankful for his life and legacy, I do pray for the greatest of comfort for all his family and for peaceful hearts.

I am immensely sad to learn of Peter's passing, even though we all know that he has passed into glory and is now with the Lord he loved. In human terms it is still immensely sad, and I'm glad that as a Premier family we can be vocal about our sadness, support each other whom we have not met, and pray and encourage the Premier team on the ground who must be working so hard through their grief. It is heartwarming to read and hear tributes pouring in. As someone who works in healthcare in the area of Peter's illness I was always aware of what he was up against, and Peter's passing feels especially close to home. Over the years I have gained so much from Premier's ministry, and feel very much part of the family. Peter's leadership had made it all possible. I will continue to thank the Lord for his life, and pray for strength and peace in the hearts of his family. May he rest in peace in the Lord.

Raymond Dang, Stockton-on-Tees

My condolence to the family of Peter. PREMIER was my continued guide and strength as a young Christian who started life in this country (1995). I left my home and country Jamaica where I used to having and hearing gospel music around the clock and I truly could not operate without that on a daily basis. My first church I started at , I enqire if there ate any gospel stations and I was introduced tho PREMIER. Since 1996, I have been a listener and became a monthly donor for some years now. I thank God for giving Peter those years of his life to spread the gospel through this radio station. May your soul rest in peace now with your Father in Heaven.

Michell Morris, London

Sending sincere condolences to the Kerridge Family. We would like them to know what a blessing he was , to the UK and around the world spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Premier Christian Radio. May he rest in peace.

I kept you in my prayers and fasting. God called you home. I often listen to premier radio and it has brought me comfort and encouragement. Nadia Eweida family of Jesus Christ.

Nadia Eweida, Strawberry Hill Twickenham

Peter was always eager to connect and share thinking whenever we met in the States at National Religious Broadcasters or like events. He was a man of great class and an evident love for Christ and His people. He and Premier Christian Radio have been a great friend to Christian media world-wide. We pray for peace and comfort for the family in their earthly loss and praise God for Peter's eternal gain.

Jim Kirkland, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

Thank you so much for your contribution and sacrifice. We have been listening to Premier Gospel for the last 12 years and it has been such a blessing, playing on our kitchen radio as we go about our day, eat dinner or when cooking or baking😊 We honour and appreciate your hard work and are so thankful for you Sir Peter Kerridge- Rest in heavenly peace Praying comfort and peace to the family during this difficult time

The Afflicks, London

The sadness of the death of Peter numbed me but hearing that Life Line which I cherish, is one of his legacies, I join the host of heaven and the multitude of saints on earth to thank God for Peter and all that He enabled him to do. He is gone home to his and our Father.

Patience, London

I just want to offer my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Peter Kerridge, at his recent passing. I became a Christian in 1998, and found Premier Christian Radio at the same time. It has been an immense resource, comfort and blessing to me over the years. I met Peter at one of the Digital Conferences, and he was so kind to me, as I was a bit shy, but he put me at ease during our conversation. I know he will be so, so, missed this side of eternity; he has done the Lord proud, (in the best sense of that word), and has left fruit that will remain in the lives of many all over the world. God bless you Premier Family.

Angela, London

A year after my husband died I discovered Premier Christian Radio I have never turn my radio off is always on Premier Radio has been a great companion. Peter answered the call of God and has benefited us all in UK. May his soul rest peace. My since condolences to his family

Mary Ajani, London

Deepest condolences to Peters family and friends.I never had the privilege off meeting Peter, but I am so glad he was obedient unto his calling as Premier praise has helped me through a lot off dark times. The scripture readings and prayers just seem to have came at the right time. I'm sure I will bump into him some time in heaven, and we can have a chat then. After all We will all be there for all eternity. Glory to God.

David Sinclair, Belfast

So sorry to hear about the passing of Peter. In life, you can count the people who have influence and lasting impact on your life on the fingers of one hand. For me Peter was one of those people. The community radio association were sceptical when Essex Radio Group sent in Peter to lead what became ten 17, because we thought they would not share our vision and ideals as a true station for our community. But Peter's personal values, inspirational positivity and integrity soon changed our opinion and, led by Peter, we established a station that we continue to be proud of today. Thank you for everything Peter. I owe you a lot

Russ Lewell, Murcia, Spain

I see jubilation and rejoicing in Heaven due to Peter's homecoming thinking of what he has built on earth. A man that sought the face of God through this achievement. May the good Lord continue to strengthen those he left behind for He is in Heaven right now.

Kay Rotowa, Surbiton

Hello I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Peter, my prayer for the ones left behind will know Gods presence more than ever, that you will know His perfect peace, healing and grace. Sending you lots of love and prayers x x x

Mary Shepherd, Cambridgeshire

I met Peter first at one of the always excellent Premier Digital conferences, and then later we worked together for as short time to move Woman Alive from CPO to Premier, so that it could continue its ministry in a different home. Peter had enthusiasm, straightforwardness, candour and the practiced ability not just to catch a vision quickly, but to share it with others and make it happen. God used him widely and well for His work, and now he is spared pain and stress. My prayers are with his family, and also with Kevin, Charmaine and the wider Premier team.

Laura Treneer, Brighton

Peter Kerridge is a trail blazer who has given voice to Christendom especially in the UK. May God rest his soul; and comfort his family, friends and all at Premier.

'Femi Okutubo, Trumpet Media Group, London

Thank you Peter for the pioneering work you have undertaken to ensure a Christian voice and the Christian message is heard.

Stephen Lowe, Nottingham

Thank You Loving Father , for blessing us with a wonderful man like Peter. I once did the 5 bridges charity walk and spent some time during the walk talking with Peter Kerridge. He was so down-to-earth, warm and a joy to talk with. I recall many Christmas xarol services at Methodist central hall, Peter would always be at the exit shaking our hands, wishing us a Happy Christmas. Sleep in perfect peace dear Peter, to rise in glory. Thank you ♡

Toyin, Watford

As with many others, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Peter’s family and friends. I never knew Peter but am one of the people who his legacy has affected. Premier Gospel is my direct and continued connection to the Lord. There is no greater act one human can do than lead another to the Lord and Peter, by way of his actions has done that for so many thousands. What a man! What a blessing to us all. Thank you for the work you did. Rest in the arms of our Lord and saviour Peter. We thank and salute you. God bless your soul. ❤️🙏🏽💐

Tia Willis-Jones, West London, UK and Washington DC, USA

Rest well in the bosom of the Lord Peter, Your time on earth has ended and I believe eternity is secure for you. You will surely be missed immensely, I thank God for your Life and all the Lord as done through you with Premier. Premier has been a blessing to me in ways I can not even describe as I believe it has and is still a blessing to so many lives across the world. May your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.

Jummy, London

I have been privileged to have known Peter as a friend for almost 30 years. He has been an inspiring example to me of Christian leadership with his enthusiastic drive, imagination, kindness and determination to serve Christ. The impact Peter had on the church and the country was vast. Without his energy and optimism it is difficult to see how Premier could have the reach and be the incredible force for good that it is today. One of my enduring memories of Peter was when we often found ourselves both staying overnight in the same club in central London. I would usually arrive at breakfast to find Peter's beaming grin welcoming me to join him and we would imagine together what was possible, Peter telling me about his current priorities and ideas. It was always a thrill to bump into him. I know his family and colleagues will of course miss Peter very much, but so will many others of us who saw Peter less often and his passing into glory leaves a very large hole in our lives. I will never forget my larger than life Geordie friend - his infectious smile will be waiting for us when we get to join him one day.

Andrew Hawkins, Whitestone, Exeter, UK

There are a group of us, still friends nowadays, who all met at our first radio station in the late 1990s called Ten 17 where Peter was the Station Manager. We are all now in our 40s, back then we were in our late teens and we all working in the industry today whether it be presenters, voiceovers or DJs and it's all because of Peter. He was our first boss and gave us all opportunity as importantly checked in with us via social media over the years, and took proudness to see where we are now. Like a proud father from the sidelines. He was very much our 'Ted Lasso' before 'Ted Lasso' or even streaming was such a thing. I know we're all heartbroken by this news and more selfishly for us, that we won't have a chance to have a proper catch up again and thank the man for where we all now and what we did for us RIP Peter and love to his family xx

Gavin Inskip, Hertfordshire

Many times the daily reading has stopped me In my track and been a guide/used In evangelism etc. Thank you Peter for building on rock

Steve pugh, Bristol

Premier radio is a blessing to me daily and is to many many others and without Peter’s leadership and vision and love of our Lord Jesus, this would not have happened. I am so grateful and send my sincere condolences to Peter’s family.

Irene Alder, Billericay

My deepest condolences to his wife, children and the Premier family I will always give praise to the Lord Jesus Christ and support Premier Radio, which was started by Peter. It was the only radio station played in my parents home, when they were alive. It is the first radio station in the UK dedicated to the gospel message 24 hours a day. It has strengthen me through the teachings and through Premier Gospel which is my radio family. Because Peter followed the leading of the Holy Spirit, millions have come to know Jesus Christ as their personal saviour, not only in the UK, but across the world. There was a lot of opposition to this much need radio station, but Peter never gave up, standing on the word of God. Peter has left a legacy through which the message of the Gospel can be heard. The work he has started must continue and it takes our financial support. Psalms 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" RIEP Peter Kerridge.

Ophelia, Luton, Bedfordshire

I never knew Peter personally, but I am an avid consumer of Premier news. As a Christian journalist, I have used Premier's resources as a source for my own writing, following up stories for my audiences. He might be gone physically but his leadership and vision lives on in Premier. God bless

Tom Osanjo, Nairobi, Kenya

Sorry to hear of the passing of Peter Kerridge. Sending our condolences to his family and those who knew him and worked with him. I’ve been listening to Premier since it started in London on medium wave and I’m very grateful for his legacy.

I hope that Peter rests in peace now with our father God. I just need to say what a great blessing Peters work has been for me and continues to be. As many of Premiers listeners have mentioned before I could not imagine a life without Premier, Peter’ life’s work. So many of us would be spiritually poorer! Thank you Peter! Hilde

Hildegard Wieland Sutton, Brentwood Essex

Thank you for the vision God gave you to establish Premier Radio. This Christian radio station has feed, encouraged, guided me on my Christian walk for over 25 years. What a gift you have been to the body of Christ. Forever grateful. Peter May your soul rest in perfect peace. Well done you have been faithful to the very end.

Joy Adams, London

I did not have the privilege to meet Peter Kerridge but his passing has really shaken me. His selfless contribution towards the things of God is remarkable and I'm a beneficiary. I can't begin to imagine the vacuum that has been left in the lives of his loved ones. My prayer is that through the grace of God you'll find lasting solace and peace because Psalm 116:15 says "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Peter was a saint and God is pleased in him. Ever since I stumbled over Premier Christian Radio some 28 years ago, I've never looked back. The only time I turn off the radio is when I'm going out. Other than that, it's on day and night. God bless the Kerridges. God bless Premier Christian Radio as your mark your 29th anniversary.

Gloria Yankah, Basildon

I got to see my email notification on Sunday, I delayed to open it and tried to avoid tuning in on Premier Christian Radio. But as a weekly routine, i tuned in again at 5 AM this morning, listened to the summons. It was at 7 AM this morning that reality kicked in. My heart was saddened with grief as i listened to the 7 O'clock news. The mood has been sombre the whole day. I have received great comfort from messages pouring out on the special program throughout the day. I looked forward to the Newsletters, financial appeals updates which always came through the mail from Peter Kerridge. My greatest satisfaction comes from the fact that Peter has been a beacon of faith and through his hard work and dedication, Premier will not stop to broadcast because he has left a dedicated team behind to continue with the ministry. My condolences to Peter's family and the entire Premier family Rest in Glory, Peter. Elizabeth from Chingford.

Elizabeth, Chingford, London

So friendly and approachable, thanks Peter for Premier R.I.P

Letina Taderera, London

Peter was a radio pioneer and an unforgettable character and personality. A remark of his changed my life, and challenged me to face an uncomfortable truth about the ways Christians communicate their faith. He was, and is, a diamond. Now in a heavenly setting! Enjoy the homecoming, Peter! With prayers that his family and friends will be hugely comforted in their mourning by the verses from Thessalonians quoted above, and by God’s Presence and power.

Ali Burnett, Herts, Uk

Praying God's comfort on Peter's family, friends and everyone at Premier Radio. Since we came across Premier praise, it's the only station we listen to and this is because of the inspirational songs and messages always played. May his soul rest in peace.

Tee, Scotland

May Peter's soul rest in peace amen. I pray for his family in this difficult time for them. Peter fought the good fight and his legacy will live long.

Bolaji Aofolaju, Croydon South London

I discovered Premier Radio during the Pandemic when we couldn’t go to church or be in gatherings. I downloaded both three stations and it got me through the pandemic living alone. I never felt alone. I listen to premier radio when am going to work as a nurse it gives me courage and all the time at home. Am grateful for Peter Kerridge for starting this Ministry. May God Rest his Soul in Eternal Peace and give his family peace that surpasses human understanding. Let’s keep the station as a Memory to Peter Kerridge.

Maryanne Allen, Camberley, Surrey.

So sad to hear our brothers Peter's passing What you have left us is priceless Rest in peace Margaret London

Margaret Acquah, North London

Peter Kerridge was a witness to Jesus throughout his life. My prayers are with his wife Karen, their two sons and the whole Premier family as they contemplate life without his presence and guidance. Thanks to his vision, enthusiasm, and ambition for the project since its launch, Premier has transformed into one of the most influential Christian media networks in the world. His death is a huge loss to Christian broadcasting and more widely, Christian testimony and witness.

Archbishop Justin Welby, Lambeth Palace

It’s with mixed emotions that I write this message. Peter was a trail blazer and his legacy will live on for generations to come. Celebrating 29 years of Premier Christian Radio and Peter going home to glory is a mixture of emotions. What an achievement and a loss for us on earth. But, I’m so thankful to God that Peter was obedient to his vision, and was bold to put it into action. Since becoming a born again Christian in 2001, I have listened to Premier Radio and seen how it has grown over the years and the impact it has made on the UK and beyond. Premier radio, is always playing in my house and car on my long work journeys and I learn so much. I pray for Peters immediately family for the peace of God as they plan his homecoming and celebration of his life and start life on earth without him. I also pray for Peter’s Premier radio family and friends. I have listened all day to the many tributes that have been made and Peter was a mighty man of God, determined to do the masters will, preach the gospel to ALL nations. I know he is now with our wonderful Father in heaven and I’m confident he has heard, ‘well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ Rest well Peter from your work and labour in your Fathers loving arms. 🙏🏾

Dear Premier Group and Media Trust, It is with profound respect that we, at the Gospel Music Industry Alliance (GMIA), offer our sincere condolences, prayers and thanksgiving for the life of Peter Kerridge. We pay tribute to the impact he has undoubtedly had in the world of Christian music and broadcasting which is so evident in the incredible work that the Premier Group achieve day in, day out. We specifically want to highlight the role he personally played in encouraging the early days of GMIA and our Founder, Juliet Fletcher. Whilst tentative at times in his perspective towards the gospel music community, his vision towards its growth and success ultimately won out through his support as mentioned above but also through overseeing the establishment of Premier Gospel media which has played a hugely significant role in the lives of so many gospel musicians throughout the UK and internationally, and with whom GMIA has an incredibly important relationship. We join many throughout the nation to thank God for Peter's legacy and pray for the comfort and peace of his loved ones and colleagues. With God's blessing, Roger Moore & Anu Omideyi GMIA Co-Chairs

Gospel Music Industry Alliance, United Kingdom

I am an arvid listener of premier gospel, everytime i get into my car, I play premier Gospel and it creates an environment of prayer and praise for me and my 2 boys. I never knew the late Mr Kerridge personally but his work has touched me and my family and continues to do so, I would like to pay tribute to this great visioner for his work in Gods kingdom through radio, I imagine him now with Jesus receiving his reward for such great work, our Lord Jesus stretching out his hands to him, saying welcome home ye great and worthy servant. In the year that I've followed Premier online, after searching for material about NT Wright, I've been impressed with the intelligence and compassion of all Premier's communications, from articles to videos to podcasts. I work in marketing, so I appreciate the smart and attractive way that your content is presented, especially how you've segmented your audience and serve those segments with separate publications on apologetics, and for women and young people. And as a Christian, I am grateful for the faithful analysis, advice, and perspectives that you provide. You've answered questions in my faith life that I've had for years -- and even questions I didn't know I had. You're not afraid to tackle the tough issues in Christianity nor do you shy away from responding to the biggest issues in culture. I was wondering, how can they have something as robust and advanced as Premier in the UK, when we don't even have anything like it in the US? I thought the UK was basically a post-Christian society? How come they're able to put out this powerful collection of Christian media that's both up-to-date in its style and apparently quite orthodox in its message? The answer must have been that God was working through Peter Kerridge. I did not know about Peter until recently, but if he was the person who started Premier, then indeed, he must have been a pioneer as well as a man of energy, intelligence, and deep faith. I am grateful for his work and now that I know about him, for his life also. I am blessed by Peter from across the Atlantic and I know that so many others are certainly blessed by his work around the world. I especially love the boxes to pray on an issue after many articles, especially ones on contentious issues that have set Christians against each other. So much heart! And such peacemakers. The world needs more people like Peter Kerridge.

Erik Curren, Virginia

Peter was an excellent communicator. Whenever he preached at our local church, he exalted Jesus and ministered the biblical message in an engaging, challenging and thought provoking way. His commitment to the dissemination of the gospel through the medium of radio was creative and passionate as he guided and inspired Premier over many years. Peter was a lovely man of great integrity and loyalty. His faithful allegiance to His Lord and Saviour has been an example to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Paul Lewis, Leigh-on-Sea

So sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Kerridge. May his soul rest in christ jesus. He's fought the good fight of faith. In prayers for his family during this difficult time. May God bless him for all his done for the kingdom. Premier radio has been a blessing to me since it started in 95. I've seen how its changed my life to the glory of christ.

David, London

I worked alongside Peter at Essex Radio, before he went off to start his dream radio station, Premier. Peter and I would often chat about Christianity, although I was a young Christian, then, not in years, but in wisdom. We hadn’t spoken for many years, but I kept an eye on his work. I wrote to him several weeks ago, but sadly didn’t hear back. Now in Gods loving arms. My sincere condolences to his family at this time. Gods strength to you and Godbless my old colleague Peter . John

John Leech, Essex.

I am very grateful 🙏 for premiere radio encouragement .I play it on my way to work at a local hospice and home plus at other times on my phone . Peter was very brave and showed positive faith during a difficult time . I know he is in heavens hands and his legacy lives on .

Alison Plumb, Essex

When I was 22 back in 1993 I wrote to Peter who was in the process of setting up a new radio station called The Big One 1017. For someone desperate to break into radio I was amazed that not only did he write back he invited me to train alongside a group of other radio hopefuls at the new studios in Harlow. Week in week out, he taught us how to operate a desk, back time a jingle so we hit the news, write scripts, talk about content and how to engage an audience. Eventually he actually put us on air. Although I only knew Peter for a couple of years, he put me on the path to a successful career in radio and that led to a successful career in television. Without Peter, none of it would have happened for me. He was the kindest, warmest man who encouraged me to fulfil my dreams. People often ask you the question 'which person changed your life?', well for me I always say, it was Peter Kerridge. Condolences to your family, and God bless you Peter x

David Hall, Manchester

We first met Peter soon after he was appointed as CEO of Premier in the 1990's. He was a dear, friendly, gifted and godly leader, pioneering a vital Christian multi-media enterprise from small beginnings on medium wave limited initially to London and the Home Counties. Through his wide vision, faith, boldness and perseverance God has created a ministry of international, Biblical significance which has led many to salvation and brought sound teaching and huge encouragement to God's people. We thank God, and give him glory, for Peter's huge contribution to advancing the Kingdom of God in these most needy of times. He is now out of physical pain and serving his Lord with joy and peace in Heaven, but we will all miss him!

Handley & Mary Hammond, Epsom, Surrey

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Peter. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I am very grateful for the impact that Peter had at Premier Radio as Premier Radio was there for me when I went through a very dark time of depression. My thoughts and prayers are also with all the staff at Premier Radio. God Bless Bryan

Premier praise is part of my daily life. It has been for the past couple of years and it has helped me grow and develop my relationship with my faith. It has enabled me to introduce faith to my small children and has encouraged me to set up a Sunday school Group in my local Church Thank you for the inspiration.

Rebecca Whitehead, Marple cheshire

Sorry to hear of Peter's passing, he was so passionate about Premier and his walk with Christ. My 9year old daughter Myra and I listen to Premier Praise every morning and each time the presenter announced updates on Peter's health, we always said a prayer for him and his family. All the testimonies we are hearing on radio today speak of what a remarkable man he was. We join the family and colleagues in celebrating his life. Rest in glory Peter.

It was sad to hear that Peter passed away. But thank God he has gone to be with the Lord which is our joy. My prayers and thoughts are with the family and staff of Premier Radio. May God grant us all the fortitude to bear the loss.

Rev. Ebenezer Asaju, Birmingham UK

My condolences to the Kerridge family, and Premier team on the passing of Peter. I pray that God comforts you all in Jesus' name. I would like to thank God for Peter's life and for all Peter achieved for the kingdom of God. My family are blessed to stream all 3 radio stations in our home and in the car. I'm blessed by the teachings in the mornings. My husband likes Premier Gospel in the evening. My children love singing and dancing in the kitchen and love to get the google speaker to 'play Premier Praise'. The atmosphere in our home is beautiful with the radio on all day. Without Peter's vision and execution, this would not be possible. Rest in peace Sir and thank you for changing lives.

Debeyan Chukwudum, Birmingham, UK

My friend and I attended the 10th Premier Radio Anniversary on 11th June 2005 at the Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. While we were having refreshments, Peter came over to us and starting chatting. We don't know why he singled us out, but then he was obviously being friendly to everyone he could see. It was nice to have met him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Lester Amann, Ilford Essex

I am so very saddened to hear and read about the sad passing of Peter Kerridge. I was really hoping and praying that he'd "pull through",but unfortunately he didn't. I shall miss him so much! He did so much for Premier! Such a crying shame he's not around to celebrate Premier's 29th birthday today! I really looked forward to receiving his letters and updates telling me about what's happening with Premier! My heart really goes out to his family and friends at this sad time of mourning! I pray that God will wrap his Great,Big,Living, Comforting Arms around them at this time, and given them the peace and comfort that they need at this sad time.I send them my condolences and prayers.(2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Brenda, South Tottenham North London

From the moment I met Peter we became kindred spirits - utterly united in the urgent task of introducing our Saviour to as many as possible through the power of God's living WORD. Throughout his illness we texted regularly and not once did I hear him waiver from the sure knowledge that he was in his loving Saviour's arms. Together we regularly marvelled that the Lord has used our lives in such a way that made no human sense, yet transparently represented the involvement of a loving Jesus and His Great Commission call. Peter was used in such an extraordinary way throughout his life and therefore great must be the rejoicing in heaven of the coming home of such a good and faithful servant. I am going to miss him tremendously and send love to his family and friends...We have had the privilege of knowing a truly great servant of God !

RICHARD BORGONON, THE WORD ONE TO ONE

Sincere condolences to Peter’s family and friends at this time. I’m very greatful for the many times Premier Radio has played a song or simply shared a scripture at just the right time. I’m so thankful for Peter’s dedication to keep this listeners supported station running all these years. It has been a lifeline in the darkest of times . The work will continue on due to the God-inspired work of Peter.

Loui, South Wales

So very sorry to hear of Peter’s death. 250 years ago John and Charles Wesley used word and music to bring an eternal message of hope to British people. They did it on horseback and in the fields and at the factory gates. Peter Kerridge used radio waves, technology and total dedication to achieve the same ends. His work was a blessing to all who met him. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

David Alton - Lord Alton of Liverpool, House of Lords

Travelling by train In the seventies we met Peter he was trying to enlist support to start a radio for London My wife had a a little piece of an advert for prayer from The Christian Herald which she had prayed for.So our prayers were heard along with many others. Richard Peart, Doncaster

My Christian walk cannot be recorded or complete without the impact Premier has made in my life. From 1997, I recall coming to London and searching for christian values. It has always been a rock for me through very trying times. The vision of a man to seek and save the lost and find true meaning and purpose empowering people to put their trust in God in their daily lives and bringing the christian community to all. Premier is part of my daily routine and always has a word to inspire, encourage, transform and enable through the all-encompassing vision of one man to reach homes through media with the message of salvation and renewal. May Peter's family be proud of the impact his vision made and be encouraged that He was such a faithful servant of the Most High.

08 06 2024 – Peter Kerridge. RIP I would like to wish Premier radio a ‘Happy 29th Birthday’ on 10th June 2024 - Shame Peter K isn’t here for this day too. My Prayers are with Peter’s family and all Premier colleagues, in front of the microphones and the teams who work the buttons etc behind the scenes, so we hear you every time we put on our radios. Thank you.. I have been listening since 10th June 1995 and never met him, but when he spoke in that lilt (what accent was it) asking for money/whatever it seemed so gentle/soothing/passionate . I remember that when Premier first started it used to finish at 6pm each day! Thank the Lord it is 24hr now. Premier Lifeline used to be 9am – 12am every day, but now closes at 5pm and is weekdays only. We have all these magazines, Voice of Hope, Premier Marketplace and am sure things I have missed mentioning – which am sure it is all due to Peter putting the ideas across and then getting the right teams in place to run them all. One thing that has hit me since Peter’s passing to glory is just how much Peter did behind the scenes and I never acknowledged it to him in a letter/Email. Sorry, Peter. I would like to say, now, that appreciate you all at Premier for all that you do for the Lord for us to be blessed too. Thank you, to Peter’s family, for sharing him with us over all these years. I /we appreciate it. Am also praying for Kevin Bennett and his family as he takes on the Premier radio baton now. Thank you, Peter, for all you did for Premier. ‘Well done good and faithful servant, Peter.’ 🌈 RIP Peter. 🌈

Dear Premier, It was with sadness that I received the news that Peter had passed away. I remember attending the 20th Anniversary held at St Paul's Cathederal in London and a thinking what an amazing dignified man he was at ease in the company of dignititaries as well as lay people. I would like to share Rev.14:13 And I heard a voice from Heaven saying "Write this: Blessed are the dead who from now on die in the Lord. "Yes, says the Spirit, 'they will rest from their labours, for their deeds follow them.' Rest in peace Peter and thank you for the Legacy that you left to Premier Christian family and the Nation. In Christ Jesus, Susan

Susan Elliott, Binfield, Berks.

Firstly my heartfelt condolences to Peter’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. What a legacy you have left Peter. I have Premier radio on 24/7. May our good Lord bless you for this station and for all you have done in His kingdom. May your name never depart from this world. May we always remember you. You have been an inspiration to many and God will bless you. May your soul rest in eternal peace and rise in glory. Amen

Rev. Nellie Showers, London, UK

Having been the proprietor and publisher of 'Christianity' for several years and then divesting it to Premier, I had the pleasure of meeting with Peter on a fairly regular basis. I recall our vigorous and visionary discussions on how the emerging digital technologies could be deployed to further God's Kingdom. Rather than tiptoeing the line, Peter 'ran the race' and brought the blessings of Jesus to so many people - including me. Thank you.

Malcolm Matson, City of London

This is a painful exit. Im sure you are dancing with the angels now. God loves you best. I never met Peter in person but ive been praying for him Premier radio has been such a blessing to my Christian journey. It has been a voice hope indeed. I pray Gods comfort, strength, wisdom and peace for every member of Peters family. I pray his legacy lives on. Love always Ade

Mrs ade adelekan, Neasden

When I heard on the radio for us to pray for Peter, I prayed and hoped he will be okay. It was really sad to hear yesterday Sunday 9th of June that he had gone to be with the Lord. I never met him or knew him but felt the need to pray for a brother. In all we give glory to our God for his life and commitment to God. Heaven is rejoicing because a GENERAL has come Home. I pray God comfort the family and fill their hearts with His love. Rest on brother till we meet again.

Agatha Ubong, Colchester

Rest in peace great one. Thank you for fulfilling God's purpose. Rest in the bosom of the Lord. Because of you, i listened to premier radio when I came into the UK years ago and it strengthen my faith. My deepest sympathy to the family and friends. May the God of all comforts comfort, strengthen and uphold you; may His peace that surpassed all understanding surround you, may the grace to carry on fill your lives in Jesus Mighty Name 🙏

Celia, Greater Manchester

I was a cover newsreader on Premier from around 2012 to 2014 doing occasional morning and afternoon shifts. I was not a regular and, being quite shy, didn't get to know many of the team - I just came in, did what was asked of me, and then went home. However one person I did get to know was Peter. Despite him having an entire multimedia group to run, he bothered to chat to someone who barely appeared in the building at all. He showed an interest and it's not exaggeration to say "his door was always open." He was friendly, interested, encouraging and open to ideas. In short, it was no surprise he was such a success, given his multiple talents. I liked him very much. May God bless his soul.

My prayers are with Peter, and his family. Premier Christian Radio and Premier Praise are the stations I have tuned into for the last 6 years. I discovered Premier when at a low ebb in my life. It was God sent.

Nigel Ainsworth, Bootle, Liverpool

I got to know about premier gospel radio through a family in my church 23 years ago, and ever since, it as being my 24hrs a day go to for spiritual inspiration, premier as being there for me when I lost my only sister to breast cancer, in 2008, my Father in 2010 and my mother in 2016, without the constant presence of premier Christian radio in every room in my house, telling with God all thing are possible, I don't know how I will be able to carry on. We all know Peter is with the Lord now, and I pray for his family and the legacy he left behind to live on to the glory of God the Father of all. Amen. Yemisi Abiola. A 24hr listener.

Peter Kerridge was a very warm, pleasant and approachable man. I had the privilege of meeting him one of the open visits to the radio station several years ago. He will be truly missed but his legacy will live on. May his soul rest in eternal peace and rise in glory.

Claudette Hart, London

I thank God for premier radio. First listen to it when I moved to the UK in 2019. Thank God for the work that Peter did in bringing the Premier radio into my life. Rest in peace

Paul, Northampton (currently at work in Democratic of Congo)

I turned on Premier Christian Radio on my phone to listen to Prayers of Hope by Ian Britton at 7pm, only to hear Craig Wakefield announcing the passing of Peter Kerridge. I couldn't believe it. I was in tears. I can never forget his voice just before the Sunday sermon on Worship at Home with Simon Ward, encouraging us to give generously, and his name and signature on every letter i receive from Premier. O Peter, you'll be really, really missed. Thank you for all the work you put into making Premier a voice for Jesus. We all celebrate you.

A O, London

I will be praying for Peter’s immediate family and the wider Premier family at this sad time. So many of us have benefited spiritually from the ministries Premier Christian Radio have brought into our lives over the years. I thank God for Peter’s life and all that he has been directly to the development of Premier. The legacy Peter leaves will continue to be a blessing to a spiritually needy society. His ministry has been a selfless one; I am so thankful to have met and spoken with him. Premier will, by God’s grace, continue to advance because of the strategic ‘beacon lighter’ Peter was. “REST IN PERFECT PEACE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.”

Patricia White, Brixton (London)

Praying for Peter's family, friends and loved one at this time. Although I never knew Peter personally, you always felt like you did through his letters which were always full of hope and his wonderful demeanor. He was a beautiful, gentle, kind powerful committed man of God. Thank you Peter for the many years of brilliant the Gospel to millions around the world. Whilst we will all miss you immensely we rejoice with the angels that you are safe in the arms of Jesus.

Sheila Thornton, London

I met Peter briefly when I shook his hand as he welcomed us to the Christmas Carol Concert in 2022 and he was so pleasant, unassuming and welcoming. It was a wonderful evening of praise and worship and the snow falling as we left Methodist Central Hall made it even more special. May Peter’s family take comfort that his vision and hard work touched numerous lives and may many more lives be saved through his legacy.

Hayley, Caterham

May I take this opportunity to thank God for the ministry of Mr Kerridge and for his life. I pray that his family will be comforted in the knowledge that he kept the faith and helped spread the faith. So many lives have been touched, sustained and saved through the ministry of Premier. Without Mr Kerridge, that would not have been possible. May the good Lord that called your love one home, draw you close at this difficult time and forevermore. Romans 8 v18.

Sandra, London

I bring you greetings from across the pond here in Memphis, TN. I just want to tell you how much I appreciated the work of Christ in your loved one. When the pandemic hit I began to pray and search online for a Christian radio station and my prayer and search brought me to the UK via my cell phone, that is. I've never heard of another radio station like this on earth and I've been blessed many times over whenever I listen to Premiere Praise. I pray that you would experience the Lord's continual peace, strength and comfort. Being in Christ we know that we will see and also be with our loved ones who have gone before us to live with Jesus. I've learned to say they just went ahead of me.🙏 AW

AW, Memphis TN

I worked with Peter at Premier and I will really miss this lovely man. He always had time for people - once he called me at home to discuss how he might be able to support and develop my potential. He always made you feel valued and seen and I got the impression that he care deeply about equality and diversity. He wanted to see women and other minorities flourish at Premier. My favourite memory of Peter is from our work Christmas party in 2022 when he sat next to me and we spent hours chatting about everything from raising young children to the challenges of work/life balance to private health insurance (as you do!) and his love of Premier. Peter was an incredibly thoughtful and warm person. I have never known such an easy going and approachable CEO. He will be greatly missed. Megan

I have only recently come across Premier Christian Radio but it is really good and helpful listening Peter must have been an inspiration to so many people Thoughts with all his family at this sad time

Robin McDuell, Leek

I met Peter a few times during my Lifeline volunteering. He was always warm and attentive with the most genuine smile, gentle humble and sincere greetings that he never skipped even when he was passing by in a hurry, and he still opened the door for me before he went through himself. That stays with me till this very day for 14-yrs! He is my great inspiration and he is like a very dear brother in my heart. His impact for the Kingdom is beyond measures as he spent his life storing up treasure both on earth and in Heaven! Rest in the eternal peace of the Father's loving arms Peter and we love you and will always miss you !

Winky, Beckton

Our warmest condolences go to Peter’s family and Friends - may they find strength in the memories that they shared and in knowing he has earned his stripes in Heaven. God bless you all 💜🙏🏾

Precious in the sight of the Lord of his faithful Saint that has departed. Rest in peace Peter Kerridge. It is well. Condolences to family and friends

Elinor Jones, South Woodford

Premier Christian Radio stations, available as an option on my car radio, was the catalyst I'm me renewing and strengthening my faith over the past few years. It is fantastic, especially in this world where Christianity is trying to be silenced, to have Christian praise songs, biblical reading and sermons and hourly prayer broadcast on UK airwaves! What a marvellous legacy and may God continue to bless this mission. My condolences to Peter's family and friends. I pray you all find comfort in knowing he is with our Lord Jesus!

Roslyn, Islandmagee, Co Antrim

My deepest thanks to all the work Mr Kerridge has done through the years on Premier Radio ensuring the word and love of God is shared with so many of us listeners. I pray for the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will rest on his wife, children, family and friends at this time. Many blessings to Premier Family as we remember him.

Audrey Gerald, Southend on Sea

I am deeply saddened by the death of our CEO Peter Kerridge. He was an inspiration to us all and I thank the lord for his life for not only establishing Premier Christian Radio but for his dedication and for all the work he has done in leading us for the last 30 years. Peter was so precise, he had so much energy and when ever we had an event he would make sure that everything was in order. He was a man of great faith and was very encouraging. I have learnt a lot from him and I am blessed. Peter has impacted so many lives and he has not only left a legacy that will go on for generations but he will be greatly missed. My prayers are with his family at this time. May he rest in eternal peace in the arms of his loving father.

My condolences to Peters direct family and his radio family Premier Christian Rdaio. Have have been listening to Premier for some time now. Peter had such beautiful calm voice and certainly a passion for the gospel. He will be greatly missed, but God saw it fit to take him home. His work on earth is finished he can now receive his crown of life that fadeth not. May he rest in eternal peace. God bless

Fay, Manchester

Thank you, Peter, God bless! Premier did inspire me so much towards my baptism and has helped my faith and relationship with our Jesus Christ our LORD.

Sherene, Bromley

So very sad to hear about Peter’s death. I felt like I knew him even though I never met him. He communicated with us like we were family - and in Christ, we are family. My sincere condolences to his close family. He’s fought the good fight and what a great reward awaits him. His faith has challenged me and that’s a good thing because I don’t want to turn up empty handed before Jesus, so thank you! God bless this ministry!

Bridget, Aldershot

Peter was so encouraging to me over the years. He trusted me to lead a short-term project with Premier Radio during a summer break from Bible college when I was just 30 and fly with it. He had a genuine interest in my life and was so supportive and super encouraging when we eventually adopted our three children. I will truly miss him, his laugh, his smile and his friendship.

Suzy Guinan, USA

Very sorry to hear this news. Peter was a committed and wonderful supporter of our carol services at Central Hall. He leaves a lasting legacy and will be much missed.

I am so deeply sorry to hear about the sad passing of Premier Radio CEO, Peter Kerridge. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and everyone at Premier Radio. He will be greatly missed by many people and it has been moving to hear tributes from all who knew him well. If it's not being self-indulgent, I remember hearing Peter Kerridge speak at an event in the Southend area. At the time, he was a local Baptist Minister and a Presenter on Essex Radio. After the event, some friends and I approached Peter to ask if he would be happy to put out an appeal for more people to join our Gospel Choir. He was happy to do so if we contacted him via Essex Radio. I wrote to him by letter-well before the internet! I can honestly say, I met Peter Kerridge before his long career with Premier Radio! As Christians, we are fully confident that his suffering after his battle with leukemia is over and he is now with the Lord. But it's a sad day too. Thank you, Peter. Thank you Premier Radio. Yours in Christ, Ann

Ann Davis, Oswestry, Shropshire formerly from the Southend area

Although I only came to know the ministry of Premier Radio in the last 2 years, through podcasts such as "Unbelievable" and "The CS Lewis Podcast" (both fabulous!)...I feel as if I have made lifelong friends and will be much in prayer for those of you who have known and loved Peter. His ministry has made a HUGE difference --and will continue to do so for years to come--in not only sharing the gospel in a culturally relevant way, but in deepening my faith so that both Heaven and Christ have become nearer and more real to me every day. God bless. Thank you, Peter. Can't wait to meet you...

Kam Congleton, Clayton, NC USA

May Peter rest in his embrace. He has been a beacon of light shining to the nation.

I am so deeply sorry to learn of Peter's passing. I thank God for his life and ministry and the blessing of Premier Christian Radio which has been and is a beacon of light and hope to so many. May Peter rest in peace and rise with all the saints in glory and may his family know God's peace, strength and hope in Jesus at this time.

Jenny Parker, Harrow Middlesex

Peter and I became good friends in the 14 years that I served as the Superintendent Minister at the Methodist Central Hall Westminster. Once a month we would meet up for a (fairly substantial!) cooked breakfast at a local restaurant. There we came up with Premier working with MCHW on developing the Christmas Carol Service and saw it grow tenfold to 2000 plus worshippers. Many other initiatives were able to be launched quickly if needed because of our strong personal relationship, but more importantly each of us were leaders of large Christian organisations and we were able to offer each other mutual friendship, support and valued counsel. In addition to that we laughed together - at some of the foibles of the Christian community and with each other as we shared honestly how we were doing. Peter was always going to come and visit me in retirement but he never made it, we both developed cancer at the same time, through prayer and chemotherapy I am, God willing, now clear after a year, but in spite of much prayer Peter has died. Yes we know he is with the Lord but we must also be honest and ask questions as to why such an effective Christian communicator was taken so early. Peter has accomplished amazing things for God through his dynamic leadership of Premier Radio, I am thankful for that but more thankful that I came to know the man he was. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Martin Turner, Former Superintendent of the Methodist Central Hall Westminster, now retired in Cheltenham

Rest in peace Peter. Heaven has gained a saint. You shall be missed

Clara Juba, Croydon

I send my condolences to you all at Premier and to Peter's family, friends and colleagues. What a man! As it says in Hebrews 11 v 4 "though he is dead he still speaks". His life and ministry like an amazing web weaved across our nation and further afield helping to bring a message of life and hope to many. I am so thankful to God for Peter and for you all at Premier. Paula Smith

I listen to Premier Praise every day and my heart goes out to his family and all the presenters and staff at Premier, I am listening the Sunday night tributes of hymns, songs and prayers and feels so touched by all the tributes. Peter is now reunited with our precious Lord and free from any pain and suffering, he is now in paradise. RIP xxx

Kathryn Palmer, Shropshire

Tribute to Peter Kerridge I am the younger brother of the late David Heron, who was also a Chairman / CEO Premier Christian Radio in the mid 90's. He was responsible for Peter's appointment and worked with him for many years…those of you on staff know more of the details. Peter gave a recorded tribute to my brother for his thanksgiving service in Winchester Cathedral last September. So, on behalf of my brother, I want to pay tribute to Peter's huge impact on Premier and through that, on hundreds of thousands of Christians globally. God raised up both David and Peter for "such a time as this", and without their love for the Lord Jesus Christ, their vision , commitment and integrity, Premier Christian radio would not be the multiple platform for advancing the Christian Gospel that it is today, for which we all give thanks and glory to God.

Andrew Heron, Feltham , West London

Thank you Lord for giving Peter gifts and a vision to make this world a safer place for children who love Jesus to still enjoy the adventures of gaming. May God comfort Peter’s family and friends.

Leslie Scott, Florida

I have known Peter as a colleague and friend for the past three decades, both in secular radio broadcasting and with Premier Media. Hugely talented as a visionary leader, he has also always been faithful to his vocation as a pastor and evangelist. He cared about individuals and was a great encourager. That different people both discover and express their Christian faith in differing ways were, to him, matters for celebration. 'To know Christ and make Him known' moulded Peter’s character. My condolences to his wife and family. God bless Kevin Bennett and the entire Premier team as you continue the work that Peter has been so influential in developing.

David Lucas, Surrey

Peter’s determination to create and continue a Christian broadcasting station was remarkable, and it saw him through several battles with the broadcasting bureaucracy. When he turned to those of us who were serving in Parliament for help in these battles, his vision and persistence made you want to respond and find a way forward. A fine Christian, used and blessed in the service of God.

Lord (Alan) Beith, Berwick upon Tweed

My deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies for Peter’s family and friends. May you know the comfort and peace of the Lord as you mourn his loss. He is at peace with his Lord in the room, of many rooms that has been prepared for him, and all who believe, in house of our Heavenly Father. May God bless you all and Peter, rest in eternal peace. ❤️

Jackie O'Rourke, Scottish Borders

It was about 2010/2011 that I discovered premier Christian radio, it totally changed my outlook on life and my belief that Jesus is Lord. Listening to previous presenters like David Aldous and most missed Michael Cleere especially ( may he rest in eternal peace) on a Saturday and Sunday changed my heart totally and I gave my life to God ! I still listen in my car everyday and without Peter's Gratitude and perseverance in bringing Jesus across the UK Airwaves I may of not been saved. I give thanks to God for Peters life and thank him that heaven has another Saint today, I send my heart felt condolences to Peters family today, he was a good and faithful servant . God bless you abundantly 🙏 Sean from Cardiff.

It felt like a physical blow when i heard of Peter Kerridge's passing yesterday. I did not personally know this lovely man, but since first hearing about his illness..and feeling the need to pray for Peter and his family, it felt as though i did get to know him personally. What a very brave fight you fought dear man. I do hope that throughout the battle, you did know how loved a appreciated you were..and still are. It is a very sad day for all who knew you and others who were touched a changed through knowing you. May our LORD comfort and fill your family and loved ones with peace. Knowing with absolute certainty that you are pain free..resting at the feet of our precious saviour "JESUS CHRIST". R.I.P Peter Kerridge.

Thank you so much for the life, and inspiration that Peter gave to Premier. I too remember those struggling days of a local radio station, and Peter brought it up and beyond. As mentioned, his entrepeneur flair was wonderfully bold. I praidse God for him, and adoration to God for making such a man as Peter.

With Premier I mourn the loss to the church on earth of my friend and colleague Peter Kerridge whilst rejoicing at the gain of the church beyond us and that he is freed from the pain and frustration of his last illness. I respected Peter’s enthusiasm for the Good News and gained so much from our meetings over the last 20 years which served my own broadcasting. Peter recognised the love for Jesus in me and in many right across the denominational spectrum. It was a joy to work with him as it is to work with Kevin and the ongoing team as coworkers in the great cause of Premier Christian Radio.

Three weeks ago, I learned about Premier Christian Radio from an elderly woman I met at a bus stop on Union Street in Aberdeen. At that moment, I was struggling with my Bible study, feeling alone, and doubting many aspects of my life. At the bus stop where I was waiting, the elderly woman got off one bus to wait for another, and she started a conversation with me, a rare occurrence for me. She told me to listen to Premier Christian radio from 4 am. to 7 am, and also mentioned some books that would help me improve in my faith. As she was leaving, she said something to me that I found deeply meaningful. She said, I think I was sent to speak to you, and that moment I knew that it was God who sent her to me because I was really battling with a lot in my life at that moment. Peter, continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord. I am grateful to have come across this awesome Christian family. Thank you for your vision of creating this wonderful medium for Christians to come together. Listening to Premier Radio for the last few weeks has been one of the greatest things that has happened to me since I came to the UK in January 2024.

Farewell to a wonderful man. How I shall miss him at church, especially when he stood in front of me!

We send our sincere condolences and love to Peter’Kerridge’s family and colleagues at Premier. Peter was such an inspiration to our dear mother who passed in 2004 and who encouraged us to continue to trust in Jesus and support Premier for the great work you do under the strong leadership of Mr Kerridge. We love you all very much and will pray for his family and Premier that you will be comforted, continue to stand up for Jesus and his righteousness, reap a great harvest and in the end we will all hear the great welcome words from our Heavenly Father “Well done good and faithful servant …”. Amen! With sincere condolences, love and thanksgiving, sending lots oF hugs Mr & Mrs Stevens.

Dear Premier team, What sad news to hear of Peter's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. For here on earth have we no continuing city, but as pilgrims we seek for one above whose builder and maker is God Isaiah 57:1-2 The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. May the Lord comfort and strengthen the family at this difficult time. Much love, Hellen

I had the privilege to know Peter briefly and in this short period of our acquaintance, his passion, vision and zeal for Premier and the Gospel of Jesus Christ shone right through every conversation I had with him. He was strategic in executing his calling and made every minute count. His life and ministry have been exemplary for countless. I pray fervently for Premier and its work to continue stronger than ever and may Peter's legacy continue through everything that Premier do in the years to come. Sending my prayers, thoughts and best wishes to Peter's family and all the staff at Premier.

Peter is not just one of the great figures in the development of Christian radio in the UK - he is THE great figure in the development of Christian radio in the UK. He dreamt and developed a model of broadcasting that did not exist anywhere else in the world. He did this through his vision, his gift for leadership, his irrepressible determination, and above all his faith in Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, Peter.

Andrew Graystone

I have admired Peter’s tenacity, persistence and vision that has seen Premier Radio not only survive but thrive through some of the most challenging times for Christian ministry. We all owe him a great debt of gratitude and I am grateful for his encouragement and support for me personally over the years. Praying for his family at this time and also praying for the Premier family to continue and build on the solid foundations laid by Peter.

I know this will be a difficult time for Peter's family, friends and everyone involved with Premier as well as countless people across the world who, like me, have benefitted from Peter's ministry and his unflinching support of Premier. Peter's faith in the face of leukemia and his battle against this insidious disease was inspirational and I know will have been a wonderful example to others facing similar situations. But whilst I am saddened he is no longer with us here on earth, I am assured he has been welcomed ito his eternal rest as a good and faithful servant of the Lord and Saviour in whom he trusted. Thankfully his legacy will live on as Premier moves into a new season. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone mourning at this time - you will be comforted by the peace and presence of Jesus during this time if sorrow.

Stephen Derges, East Devon

Though only a member of the Premier Family for a few years, Premier has become an indispensable part of my spiritual journey. Now in my 80's, and also living with cancer, I have found so much light with Premier for the pathway that has been set before me. Alongside my own 'physical' church family, Premier has added so much to my pathway which I have now been walking for a number of decades. Though I have never met Peter I know what good work Our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished through him, and I remember the teaching of Our Lord that "by their fruit you will know them". Thank you Peter. May Peter's family find comfort that death is 'au revoir' not a finality and that our Lord will have already welcomed home another of His 'saints'. In the fullness of time what a reunion there will be !

Thank you for running with God's vision for the nation. Rest In Power 🙏

I want to express my deep sadness at the passing of Peter Kerridge . May his Soul Rest in Peace and rise in glory. My sincere condolences to Peter 's family . May they know God's comfort and peace now and in the days to come. Peter had a vision of a Christian Radio Station and he was faithful to it . He has left a legacy that will live on for generations to come. Premier Christian Radio has been my companion for over twenty years. I have so benefited from the worship, prayer ministry and teaching . Premier Christian Radio was my special companion to and from university at a ripe old age of 50years, right through to my successful completion and graduation in my pharmacy degree. My family and friends have benefited from the ministry of Premier Christian Radio in more ways than I can recount. Thank you Peter Kerridge for your obedience and faithfulness to God. May you rest in peace and rise in glory. .

Although I never had the honour of meeting the late Reverend Peter Kerridge, God has richly blessed me through the great work He has done, and will continue to do through Premier Christian Radio. Thanking Him for His faithful servant's work, witness and service, along with the vast Premier Radio Congregation I commend Peter Kerridge's family, close colleagues, and friends to Our Heavenly Father for comfort. May they, through faith, in Christ, Our Risen Living Saviour and Lord, be assured that he, for whom all earthly suffering and sorrow is now passed, is safe at Home with Our Heavenly Father, and be, by Him, lifted above their present darkness into the Light, Joy and Peace of His presence, abiding, by His Grace, in His love.

Since I discovered Premier which was about 10 years ago I have never looked back. Premier is more than a radio station for me. My alarm is set to Premier, Premier is forever played in my car and home. I love the worship, the teachings and all the songs played. If not for premier I would not have know all those wonderful hymns and song that I enjoy and listen to day in day out. I thank God for the calling of Peter who accepted his assignment into ministry and has transformed the lives of not only mine but the lives of many. To be absent from the body is to be present with God. Well done good and faithful servant. Your memory will not be forgotten My heart felt deepest condolences to the entire Kerridge family

I met Peter many times at Premier Christian Radios Christmas Candlelight Services znd Reception. He is the most accessible CEO I know. He mingled freely with us, chatting, laughing and genuinely appreciating us. Through his leadership, so many have come to know the Lord, be strengthened, stand in faith, steadfastness, hope and love. Peter thank you for laying your life on the alter of sacrifice for the Lord to use you. Enter now into the everlasting joy of the Lord where your reward awaits you. I draw strength and lessons from your example. My sincere condolences to his family and the whole Priemier family. 🙏

I have often hear Peter's voices during Premier radio 's appeal. A voice sounding with real need and passion the relevance and importance of the precious gift of a Christian radio in our troubled world today. Our premier christian radio family, has lost a true voice for Christ here on earth but we also know that Peter has gone home to the arms of his father. I started listening to Premier in 1998 & have been so blessed by the ministry & how it has grown & expanded the gospel message, with the sister stations, magazines, podcasts, women's ministry, events - the list goes on. I felt Peter's absence at last years Christmas Carol service, that he used to unfailingly attend. He was a visionary, we thank God for Peter's life & legacy which will continue - a blessing and pioneer to the body of Christ. A life well lived, he has fought the good fight and run his race & is now in glory, at peace, free from sickness & pain. I pray for God's supernatural grace, strength, comfort & peace for his family & the Premier family to sustain you all at this time in Jesus Mighty Name 🙏🏾.
